So I haven't updated my diary so recently because I've been traveling - but what I'm telling you is the truth, I honestly wouldn't want to waste people's time like this.

Basically, I was doing really well on a diet of 1,200 a day, plus half an hour cardio 5 times a week. It seemed to be doing the trick. Then I started going to the gym as I got better (I was quite ill) - and started putting on weight. I was told this was because I had to up my calories, and I started to do so, with protein etc.

Now, my diet consists of:

Breakfast - 1/2 cup granola w/ semi skimmed milk
- Berries (blue berries most days)
OR
- Two free range eggs w/ no milk, scrambled
- Black pepper, tomatoes and spinach.

Snack - Fruit
OR
- Home made (74 cal 2 gram fat) Lara bar

Lunch - Actimel
- Cod Liver Oil & Evening Primrose Oil
- 1 Slice whole wheat bread
- 1tsp Peanut butter
- Salad

Snack - Skinny vanilla steamer (I don't have this all the time, but I thought I'd include this just incase it was a big factor - it's 120 calories and usually doesn't effect my food diary)

Dinner - Smoked Cobbler/Salmon/Haddock/Quorn/Tofu
- Vegetables/ Quinoa
- Lemon and black pepper drizzle.

I have had a birthday meal recently (I turned 21 on April 5th yay!) and that consisted of half a small enchilada, 1 vege taco and a slice of cheesecake (and 2 glasses of wine) and I had two easter eggs over easter.

I do cardio 5 times a week - when I went to Paris I walked for at least 5 hours a day for 5 days (1 day I did 6 hours and 1 day I did 7) and I had brown pasta with tomato sauce and shrimp, and garlic snails instead of my usual dinner for two days.

I have put on around 6 lbs though (although I don't FEEL bigger)

Can someone please tell me why this is?! I'm working so hard!

If you need me to be clearer, or would prefer to chat via messages then that's fine :) Also, my profile is on friends only because I received quite a lot of abuse from people (non of whom were on MFP) so I make it more private to protect my feelings. This is why I've produced a general eating guide. I also accept pretty much all friend requests as long as you don't seem like a complete stalkeroony :)

Thanks!
