Hi!! I'm new. And sooo ready to make some new friends :)

I started going to the gym on March 28th. Don't ask me why that particular day, lol, because i can't honestly say. I just know I woke up and decided today was the day! I go to the gym at least 5 days a week now, and have completely altered the way I eat. I have to laugh at myself though because the day I chose to go to the gym I was speaking with a friend and emphatically told her 'i'm not changing my eating habits, that's just not in me'. I'm a fried chicken/hamburger/boiled crawfish kind of gal. I love all kinds of fried food. BUT, you know the saying, never say never....well, I don't know what came over me, but I have become SO conscious of what I eat. I scan everything with my iphone app and add it in. I log literally everything. When I started doing that, without restricting my diet, I was floored at the horrible numbers. Everything was in the red lol. And thus began my change in eating habits. I bought some equate brand weight loss chocolate drinks (those things are yummy) and I supplement these for 2 of my meals. Along with vitamins (super b complex) and healthy snacks. I drinks lots of water (flavored with the 5 calorie drink packets, they make some really really good flavors now, i had no idea!) and of course I'm addicted to diet coke. I've never been a water drinker, that's just not me. It is now though. I will admit, passing on the food I used to eat is hard, but when I input it in MFP and see the numbers come up, well hell, that's enough for me!! I still allow myself the splurge every once in a while, but I simply adjust the rest of my day accordingly. I'm also cutting back on my smoking, I time myself and so far it's working really well. My goal is to lose 40-45 pounds and quit smoking. And I'm it for the long haul. Anyone interested in being friends I will gladly accept you. I would love the support and offer support in return. I have 50 lbs to go and like you had NO idea of the nutritional content of anything I ate. Once I saw what I was eating I got mad! Now I use this religiously! Feel free to add me & good luck!0
