It's hard to fight off the discouragement sometimes

I'm getting to that point. This is my typical cycle and I want to BREAK it! For some reason, my body never shows any kind of weight loss or change for about 6 weeks when I start a healthy eating and exercise plan. No inches lost, no pounds less, nothing. And then all of a sudden the inches will start to disappear followed by the pounds after I hit that 6 week mark. I don't know why or how but this is how my body has always worked since I had my son.

Still, even though I know this I get discouraged and most of the time, I end up quitting or slowly reverting back to old habits. I've never said this out loud so I am hoping to change it now. I've been doing this for 4 weeks now. I haven't been perfect at it but I am working out more than I ever have previously and I am really trying to be careful with what I eat. Help! I need some motivation.

Maybe you should wait until after that 6 week period to weigh the first time! Just concentrate on eating healthy and getting the exercise!

I have the same issue. I lose very little, and I get discouraged.
Just hang in there! You are almost to that 6 week point.
It takes our bodies time to adjust and get with the changes we have made and continue to make.
If you think about it, 6 weeks makes a lot of sense in order to see changes.
You know you feel better when you exercise and eat better, so just remember that and stick with it.
You are almost there, just keep pushing through.

Thanks ladies. Needed this stuff! I'm a Florida girl in a beach town so my motivation is the 8 bikinis sitting in my drawer right now waiting!
