Lost too much?

I've been following MFP guidelines for net calories, including accounting for workouts, and also eating healthy foods in 5-6 small meals a day. I'm supposed to be losing 1 lb a week but last week I lost 3. Should I eat more?

If you just started eating healthier foods and drinking more water and exercising, it's common to lose quite a lot in the first couple weeks.
Just keep doing what you're doing, you may find that you gain some of it back when your body levels out with the new routine.0 -
Without knowing any info it's impossible to say. How many calories do you eat, what's your BMR, stats (height, current weight, ect) and are you able to open your diary?
In a general sense no its not wrong to lose more than 2lb a week. I've had weeks I've lost 6lb. Sometimes it just happens thAt way. But without further info on you it's hard to give advice.0 -
Honestly, it depends on your weight. If you have a lot to lose, that could be fine. If you have less to lose that isn't something you want to sustain. As an above poster said, when you start out you often get a little extra loss. So it's best to have a few weeks data before you conclude anything0

Well I've been at it for a little over a month now. I switched from Livestrong to this site. I started at 178 and now I'm at 168.5. I'd been going pretty steady at about 1-2 pounds a week and then last week was a bit of an anomaly. I guess I'll just relax and see how things go long term before I start worrying. Worrying is something I'm an expert at0

Sorry to highjack but I have a similar problem also. I lost 4lb in my first 2 weeks of MFP, but today (this week) I have lost 9lb just in a week! So 13lb over 3 weeks. I have quadruple checked this and it is not wrong. Obviously I'm happy to lose but this seems really extreme!
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I have 1350 calories a day and always try to eat back my exercise calories. I'm vegetarian but am very careful to get a balanced diet. I even have the occasional treat. I practice taekwondo for an hour once a week which is quite vigorous, but this week I haven't been able to jog, or even briskly walk much due to the snow.
Should I be worried?0
