unwritten rules?

i am still new here and was asked by very nice women to be friends... i am not complaining please dont read me wrong... but i am interested by this non the less...

is it an unwritten rule that men and women are not friends on here?

    I don't know. I'm new here too, but I have noticed that there are waaaaay more women on here than men to begin with.

    Nope, no unwritten rule. Lots of women are friends with men on here and lots of women are just friends with other women. It's all personal.

    I would definitely say it is not an unwritten rule here. I have both men and women on my friends list. Probably more women due to the fact there seems to be more of us on this site though.

    I don't believe there is any unwritten rule here with most of us. I believe my friend list is half male and half female.

    some women only friend other women due to personal choice, which is cool. there are far fewer men than women here, so most guys have more women than men as friends. it just happens.

    I used to have primarily only female friends (way back in the day) except GorillaNJ, he was one of my first friends on here, and then BigPelly...

    And then I just started adding more and more men, and at first I was worried that it would look like I was becoming a penis collector, but then I realized...

    Men are awesome. So are women. I actually get along better with men as a general rule, but I have a fairly even mix of both on my FL.

    Oh, and even if it was an unwritten rule, who can say no to an awesome beard like hiker282's????

    Personal preference. I have lots of male friends. But some men have turned down my friendship out of respect for their wives.

    54.5% of my friends are men.

    45.4% of my friends are women.

    Either there is some rounding error, or 0.1% of my friends are unclassified.

    It is up to you. There is no right way or wrong way to add friends ;) I have only female friends. There are lost of girls on here that do the same thing. By all means tho, add whoever you want!

    There are some women who have stated, in no uncertain terms, that they absolutely will not be friends with any men on this site. (I've never seen a man say anything similar.)

    One profile I read said something like, "Sorry, I don't accept friend requests from men. This is my GIRLFRIEND ZONE" (yes, in capital letters).

    So, I think it's fair to say that some women on this site have an unwritten rule about that. But what you do is entirely up to you. :smile:
