I was wondering if anyone has a good "toning" routine they would share?
I'm currently 333 lbs, and I am losing right now at a rate of about 10 lbs a month. I want to make sure that I'm toning (my arms especially) as I lose. Right now I just am doing about 10 reps bicep curls and tricep lifts with 10 lb weights, plus doing some work with a stretchie band. I just need a routine to follow! Thank you!

Just keep doing what you are doing. Do more sets or more reps. Change around the order you do the xercises. Google arm exercises and see what comes up.

Toning is a fluff word. It doesn't mean anything.

And since you have a lot of fat to lose, you do not need to worry about LBM loss at this stage - it will be minimal.

Have you ever checked out the website Pinterest? There is a fitness section where people can post workouts and different things. You could do something different for weeks without getting bored ( I have that problem).

Kenny536 is right. Toning is a fluff word, but I use it all the time still. My advice would be to continue strength training along with your cardio. You said you are doing 10 reps, but I was wondering how many sets you are doing? I've always been told to do a total of thirty reps. Most people do 3 sets of 10 reps or 2 sets of 15 reps. I would add sets to your workout.

As you get stronger, you should add more weight. You won't get bulky and it will help to "tone" your arms.

Good luck! I hope this helped.
