Calories vs Fat Calories

I'm using a new Polar Heart Rate monitor to measure the calories burned during workouts. When I read the data, it will give me the number of calories burned, and then below that, the percentage of fat calories burned. For example, Sunday's workout stated that I burned 450 calories, 15% fat calories. What does that mean? Is that a good or bad thing?

Thanks for any insights you have on this.

Depending on how strenuous the workout is (cardio workouts anyway), the percentage of calories burned from fat can vary. I believe that's the idea anyway.

For example, when I put my information into a cardio machine at the gym, the fat burning zone is something like 122, whereas the cardio zone is something like 150.

First of all, the percentage number is just a guess--the HRM cannot tell what substrate you are using. Even if it was accurate, it wouldn't make any difference. The fuel you use during exercise has no effect on stored body fat.
