I have been strength training for the last 3 months (3x week). Last week I hurt my back and was put on bed rest for the week. I just started back at the gym yesterday. Oddly enough, I look as though I have never set foot in the gym, I am so flabby looking. I have actually lost 2 lbs (I assume it is water). What is this??? I have absolutely no muscle tone at all. I know I shouldn't have lost muscle in such a short time but it sure looks like it... Anyone have any ideas?

i am absolutely no expert but as you have had a week or so off, mabey your muscles aren't storing as much water for repairing themselves? i'm sure you'll get right back on track0

Less weight from less water retention. As for looking flabby, it's more a personal perception than probable reality. We are our own worst critics.
