Hi - I've been an avid MFP user since March of last year. I was able to lose the 15 pounds I wanted to before my wedding last October, and didn't stop tracking. In November I found out I was pregnant (YAY), and continued with my exercise and calorie tracking. Here I sit now, 25 weeks pregnant, gaining weight like crazy and it is baffling to me. I need ideas to slow it down.

I workout a minimum of 6 days a week (usually 7), and burn somewhere between 400-700 calories per workout. I do mostly cardio, but I also do some Jillian Michael's type circuit training, but I've had to adjust that because the tummy is too big :-).

I now eat approximately 1800 calories a day of the right food (fruits, veggies, light protein, light carbs...so I'm technically doing everything "right"). I was only eating between 1500 and 1600 during my first trimester.

So now, here I sit already gaining 30 pounds? It's so frustratining...ten years ago I gained 70 pounds with my first child and didn't workout or watch what I eat I did the whole "eating for two thing" and this time I'm working my butt off, depriving myself of the candy and treats I'm CRAVING :), yet I amd still on track to gain 60-70 pounds and look like one of the pregnant women who just don't care....help?

Metabolism. Talk to your doctor before you try anything else. And remember.....this too shall pass!
