Non Jillian Strength training dvds

I'm wondering if anybody has any recommendations for strength dvds other than Jillian Michaels? I have tried to love her dvds but I just can't get through them. Far too jarring on my joints.

I'm really really happy with Leslie Sansone for all of my cardio needs - I get a fantastic burn with her workouts without any joint pain or muscle soreness afterwards - but I would like to be able to do some more muscle work with my hand weights. I have seen dvds for Jari Love and of course Chalean Johnson - just wondering how they compare?

I'm not a JM fan at all. Her 3-2-1 system is a gimmick. With Chalean and Jari, you'll get a more comprehensive approach. Also check out Cathe Friedrich's strength training videos.

Cathe Friedrich is a very well respected instructor and her workouts are no nonsense. She hits many different types of intensities and offers lots of alternatives.

^^ I LOVE Cathe Friedrich. No gimmicks, no rambling, boastful speeches. Just good, old fashioned hard work.

Check her out on Collage Video. They let you view the videos and the prices are very reasonable.. Good luck.

I also like the free Fitness Blender workouts on YouTube. They have videos at different levels, rated from 1-5, and there isn't a lot of chatter, so you can play your own music.
