Dumb question... how do you add friends?

I am fairly new to MFP, and trying to figure everything out. So far, this site has been a HUGE help to me, but I'd like to explore the "friends" thing a bit more. How do I add friends? Or, how can someone add me? I was able to add my husband, but I did that on the first day, and I can't remember how I did that?

I'd love to have some additional support and encouragement... and be that for others too.

    You see the little arrow below my name? You can either click that or click my name. That will take you to my page and you can click invite friend or add friend. You'll see it when you get there. Add me for a start.

    it's a button on the profile of the other users... to view a profile you click the username under the profile picture here in the forums...

    or you go to the website with their username..

    ie..
    www.myfitnesspal.com/charrhuskins
    which is the same link as clicking your username here in the profile...
