I think I've been doing it wrong...

Just a couple questions... reading other peoples posts have me thinking that I've been doing this thing wrong the WHOLE time..

I'm obviously trying to eat under my calorie limit, but I've had a couple people tell me that the number that MFP supplies is ALREADY short the calories I need for successful weight loss. Every day.. I am shorting the number supplied by MFP by 400-500 religiously. Is that right??

Also... I work out 6 nights a week, usually burn 500 from cardio and weights 3 times a week. Should I or shouldnt I be eating those calories back? Seems kind of counter productive.. but then again, I havent been able to meet with a trainer or nutritionalist about this.

Hoping for some feedback from those willing to share their expertise. I thought I was on the right track.. 32 pounts in 3 months didnt seem so bad...
