Hi everyone! I’m noticing that the more often I work out, the quicker I’m going through sneakers. I currently weigh about 275 and I’m walking at least 10 miles a week in addition to zumba, low impact aerobics, jumping rope etc several times a week. I also do strength training which doesn’t really impact my sneakers. I know my weight contributes significantly to having to replace my sneakers more often, which is every 4 - 6 weeks. Can anyone recommend a sneaker that seem to hold up a little longer? Brand and style would be appreciated. I’m really interested in hearing from people that have been or are currently around my weight or heavier. Thanks in advance!

Honestly.... Between 235 to 175 I changed shoes about 3 times.. That was a 5 month spand.... Not sure what others will tell u but my feet shrunk so that had ALOT to do with it... Once my feet were smaller the shoes stopped providing support... Wish I had a better answer babes..0

I'm currently at 289, coming down from a lifetime high of 340 year. I swear by Ryka shoes. I had a pair of their running shoes that lasted me for almost a year, and I replaced them with a pair of their crosstrainers last month (Assist 2 I think is the style, but I'm not sure as I'm at work and my sneakers are at home). I do strength training 3 days a week and HIIT cardio 3-4 times a week. Before discovering Ryka, I was prone to twisting my ankles even just while walking, but with the support and design differences in the Ryka sneakers, my ankles are stronger and running, etc is so much more comfortable. Hope this helps0

Thats really good. Every pair of sneakers has mileage and there is only so much they can take so the fact that you are reaching the shoes "mileage" so quickly is awesome. It means you are really moving! The longest lasting pair of sneakers I've owned are my Nike Lunarglides. I run about 3 miles every other day and I've had these sneakers for about 5 months and they are still going strong. If you have a store like runners haven, they will have you bring your old sneakers and then *kitten* where they have their most wear and tear and recommend a pair of sneakers for you that will support you better and last longer.0
