We are all on a journey to a healthier life. What is your pet peeve you've found along the way?

ME? I don’t like it when people say, “You look too skinny.” (I’m training for a marathon.) I would NEVER dream of saying, “You look too chubby.”

When I hear, can you eat that?

I was making a PB sandwich and a family member asked if I could eat that since I was on a diet.

My response would be, "Can you STFU?"

I get that too!!!!!!!!! I seriously don't understand that. Especially when I'm no where near being "too skinny". I've often wondered if losing weight makes other people feel insecure about their own weight, so to rationalize their weight they tell you that you are "too skinny".

This is also a peeve of mine. I tell people i'm on a diet and trying to lose weight and they say, "What weight?!" Hey, I do have some weight to lose alright, but it was mostly to get feeling better about my looks but also physically I was exhausted and never felt good.

Hmm... I'm not sure I really have a pet peeve that's related to weight loss. In general though, I can't stand it when people start talking over you without letting you finish a sentence. It's pretty much the height of rudeness, in my view, and I've walked right out of meetings / conference calls at work when people insist on doing it (which was better than the alternative of dropping a bunch of four-letter words or punching them. :P)

Amen! I work with someone who does this . . . I've just stopped even bothering to talk around her. AND, she hits on another pet peeve of mine . . . I'm working very hard to be slim and healthy, doing my research, planning my meals and workouts . . . Last thing I want or need is to get advice from a young, tall, very slim, woman who can eat bagels and cream cheese every morning and Papa John's or Jimmy John's for lunch every afternoon, go out for barbeque or Mexican every other night, NEVER work out, and still easily slip into 2's and 4's . . . REALLY? I should take advice from someone who doesn't even have to work at it?? I prefer to get it from people who actually have to struggle and succeed with effort thanks . . . I'm secretly praying her 30's hit her like a Mack truck. Hee hee.

    OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS x a bazillion.

I have a coworker that is going to get me fired one of these days. I have NEVER been able to finish a sentence in his presence. EVER.

Well, once...after I told him that if he wasn't going to listen, I was not going to answer his question.

As for weight loss, when people go: "...just one (insert one: Beer, plate of nachos, wings, etc.) won't hurt you...."
Guess what? I am fighting against my DNA (everybody in my family dies of heart disease), against my own craving self, against a food industry that thinks a meal of 2000 calories is a "portion".... I am standing there struggling and you are making it infinitely harder. STFU!!!

Sounds like my husband. He was trying to get me to share a funnel cake with him just this past weekend . . . VERY frustrating!

I don't like that one either. I'll have a Pepsi Max & someone will say “That’s not very healthy.” I’m quick to reply,” I have one vice…, how many do you have?”
