Hello and Good Day to All!

I came to this site by a recommendation from my doctor. Since I respect her opinion and appreciate her advise I thought I would give this a try.

This is my story and I'm sticking to it for now. I travel on business quite often. I eat out almost every meal. I have changed my eating habits over the last couple of years to eating more fresh foods such as salads, beans, carrots, and anything organic I can find in the grocery store for my dinner. My down-fall is I most likely eat too much and put too much salad dressing on the salad.

The hardest part of my day is breakfast and lunch. I will admit, breakfast is normally a large cut of coffee with lots of cream and either a bagel or something fun and sweet, ie pastry. Lunch is Wendy's, Burger King, McDonalds, unless I take a client out and then it becomes a chicken salad and tea or water.

I need to lose about 65 lbs. I walk/jog. I do it as much as possible and might be forced into more so than not now.

I'd like to hear from some people as to what you all eat in the morning and at noon to better help me. Like, what do some of you use instead of cream in your coffee. I enjoy a couple glasses of wine, what do you do instead of that.

For anyone that is on business four to five nights per week, what do you all do? Anything that anyone can do to assist me would be great appreciated.

Thanks

I eat yogurt for breakfast, can be portable, is fast, and keeps you full. If you miss your normal food, eat half a bagel instead. Opt for low fat milk in your coffee instead of cream, and limit yourself to 1 yummy one. If you need more, drink the next cup(s) black. If you can run to a store for lunch instead of fast food, many have pre-made lunches ready to go. Spend the extra few minutes to go inside and grab that, or a subway (limit your dressings and don't get cheese!). Eat more slowly and you can be full with less food, even if you need to get the fast food sometimes. Drink more water to stay full. Just read around and you can find a lot more information, but this can help you start.

Also, make sure to use the stairs, and fit some time in at the hotel gym if you can at all. Watch your TV from the bike instead of the bed!
