I think I will download a good audio book onto my iPod and listen to that while walking on the treadmill or while riding the stationary bike. I'm not the kind who can read while walking, safely! I think that will help. What do you do?

  • I watch something on my iPad or listen to audiobooks or music. For audiobooks it has to be really gripping for me to be able to focus whilst running.

About six months into my weight loss journey, I bought a used treadmill (BEST $200 investment of my life). In order to 'make' myself use it that winter, I taped my favorite soap opera, and when I got home, I wouldn't let myself watch it unless I was walking on the treadmill or had already walked at least 3 miles that day.
Kept me going, kept me caught up on one of my indulgences, helped me lose the weight!
