Looking for someone to review my diary..please

Hi all
I've been a MFP member for almost 2 months. Every day I learn something and my being healthy is a work in progress
I do exercise a lot. I enjoy it and have made a commitment from March 1 through August 1st to
Swim 100 miles
Bike. 150 miles
Run/walk 250 miles
My dilemma is the following...I earn so many exercise calories that I have not been able to eat them back (honestly..I would not eat them all back till I got a HRM(soon) but I would be happy eating at least 3/4 of them
Although I'm not hungry and have energy, I believe that if I don't start eating more, there will soon be trouble
I have recently added protein powder and some Greek yogurt but I'm still way under
Believe me...the old me could use up the extra calories with no problems but the healthier me is having problems
Any notes about my journal and adding calories would be appreciated

My go to are nuts! Almonds, cashews, pistachios, and peanuts... if you snack on about a cup of these (4 oz) through the day it should give you about 640 calories extra. I usually have 2-3 oz per day and whenever I get a dip in energy I have a few :happy:

Honestly, your diary looks great! (Although I noticed there were only 2 glasses of water logged - with 2 hours of intense cardio, I would assume you drank way more water than that, right?).
If you are feeling fine, I'd say stay the course. If you ever feel like you are weak, lacking energy, etc. then certainly increase your calorie intake. I'd also encourage you to use the heart rate monitor and also use the treadmill and bike to tell you exactly what your miles/hour are to make sure your exercise calories are calculated as accurately as possible. There are a lot of people that don't eat all of their exercise calories and do fine! If you notice a plateau in your weight loss, I'd encourage you to spice up your workout by adding some strength training (even just some free weights and ab work).

Thanks Emily for your feedback. I do drink about 6-8 glasses of water a day...on my iPhone it's kinda hidden and I sometimes forget to log them.

I would recommend eating some more for breakfast. Maybe add some protein to it. I noticed for breakfast and lunch your protein is pretty low as well as calories. Maybe try protein powder in your cereal, cheese, greek yogurt (I know u said earlier that you didn't care for it maybe you will find a brand u like. I went through tons before I fell in love with Chobani.), peanut butter, and nuts. That is all I got so far but I think that would help you add more calories that your body needs from all that exercise. Plus keep it up with the water0

I was also going to recommend a protein shake in the morning. Or you could add silken tofu--the least firm kind.
My favorite breakfast is nearly plain oatmeal and peanut butter on toast or a plain rice cake. Since you want to add calories you could also add agave to your oatmeal--it is metabolized differently from other sweeteners.
If you have a sweet tooth, my boyfriend swears by Builders Bars, made by Clif's Bars, which have tons of protein and about 300 calories. He claims they taste just like a candy bar.0 -
Vegan...thanks for all your tips..I just bought Agave for a new recipe..thanks for the oatmeal tip.
Breakfast is hard for me. I can't really eat more than a banana before I hit the gym and then I rush to work so I usually eat the rest of my breakfast in the car. My client can't really eat (very sick) and I don't eat around him. The bar you mentioned may be perfect..thanks!0 -
