Getting up once an hour

Hey all!
There is a small gym on the roof of the building I work in and I've decided once an hour to get up and move, so I don't sit for too long! I thought running on the treadmill for 5 minutes might be a nice break. I burn about 50 calories each time I do this.
Right now, due to parents visiting and other things I haven't been able to make time for exercise and I like that I can squeeze this in til all the craziness is over, and at least get some exercise.
Anyone know if there's a downside to doin it like this? I know I won't be building up any kind of endurance but over the day maybe I can burn an easy 500 calories or so
