how much do you weigh?
I have an article somewhere that gave a result of 0.7% weight loss per week on a 20% deficit.
I have a 20% deficit, I have checked my own loss, and it works out at an average of 0.7% per week - I found that fascinating!0 -
Im 210lbs 5 ft 2 and 42 Im not eating 16 + calories I need to lose another 81lbs so Ill stick to 1300 for another 14lbs
Thanks0 -
I've recently increased my cals from the 1200-1300 set by MFP after reading a lot on the forums. As expected, my weight has fluctuated quite a bit over the past 2-3 weeks as my body adjusts and resets my metabolism.
Eating at a deficit to TDEE, but always above BMR seems to make perfect sense to me0 -

I think this may depend on your activity level.
Let's say (hypothetically) a bmr of 1500. Sedentary(1.2) would give 1800 for TDEE, and taking 20% off that will give 1440. That's 360/day deficit, which is about 1 lb every 10 days.
Now let's say same person, same BMR, but extremely active(1.9). TDEE would be 2850, so taking 20% off that will give 2280. This is a 570/day calorie deficit, which is about 1 lb every 6 days.0 -

My TDEE must be much higher than I think, but I don't know why, as I don't do that much activity..
I calculated a TDEE of 2000, I eat at 1600, which is only a 400 deficit, which should produce 1lb every 8 days.
last week I lost 2.8, which was unusal, but most weeks it is over 1lb.
I'm not complaining0 -
I hit at least a deficit of 750 daily. It's working so far so good.0
