i am thinking i am gonna try to give myself one day a week "off". that is not to say be stupid about what i am doing and eat a pizza but sometime you need a steak and beer....and life with no bourboun is not worth living (cause i am a Kentucky boy to the core)

    so... instead of taking a day off, why not fit a treat neatly into your day calorie-wise? Maybe it'll take an extra workout, but at least it won't throw you off track.

    Every few weeks I'll fit a meal or treat I wouldn't normally have into my calories ... I might go over in carbs or fat but I'll stay within my calories.

    You can certainly do that with a steak and beer.

    Fit it in your calories, as the PP suggested. Work out extra that day, eat up to your maintenance cals instead of the deficit - nothing wrong with that. Moderation is the key, not deprivation.
