Carrying calories over

I find it easy to stick to calories during the week, infact most nights I've been looking for something to eat just to meet my target which is crazy especially if I'm not even hungry. It's even more out of balance on the days i go to the gym. Weekends are a different story, I can just about stick to calorie goals but it isn't always easy.
My question is do you stick to daily calorie goals or do you save up for the weekend?

I work on hitting a weekly average, so some days I hit under and other days I hit over. As long as my average stays in my goal range, I'm happy. If I go under or over, I start to re evaluate. I've done formal calorie cycling with specific targets each day, but working it more flexibly is going well so far. If it stops working, I may go back to something a little more structured.0
