Well I'm just wondering if it is a bad idea? Although it does get the sweat really rolling in only a few minuets! Any taker!

It feels good! That's the main reason I do it, helps me relax after a workout and de-stress on life. Sweating also helps get rid of toxins in the body.
But other than that, don't expect it to do much it on a physical level. You aren't really burning calories.

I think it helps to sweat out the toxins! I like to go when I am really hungover, it helps :P

I sweat like crazy when I work out, so not sure I need to sweat any more than that! I have a friend who swears by it, but I have yet to figure out any real benefits. If there are any, would love to see what people have to say, too.

I like to sit in the sauna after a swim and when I'm nice and warm do some stretches - as long as I'm not in anyones way!!

It makes the stretches feel more effective to me (whether it actually is or not, I'm not sure).

Personally, my muscles always feel lovely and relaxed after I stretch when they're nice and warm and relaxed in the sauna :)
  • my trainer told me that it is good to go for about 10 minutes after working out because the heat is good to relax your muscles. :)
