experts of fitbit?

I bought a week ago and I do love it but still find I have questions I can't get answered through theie FAQ page- Really hoping someone on here can help-
1. what is fitbit adjustment mean? I add my daily exercises and it calculates the total cals burned here on MFP but then I notice fitbit puts in more calories burned. Is this their way of saying that the calories MFP calculated was off/wrong?
2.What does it mean on the fitbit page about a 12/24 hr day? I wasn't sure which one to pick
3.How does the friend aspect work, someone friended me but I can only see her page, can we communicate and if so how, you know like on here, offer moral support etc?
4.Does fitbit automatically reset at midnight? Is it midnight to midnight?
5. Anything else I could possible know that is beneficial?
6. Does anyone know how the sleep part work, how does it know all this stuff?

Thanks to you all in advance, I know I have more questions but thats all I can think of right now!

    The fitbit adjustment is the exercise time fitbit puts into mfp for calories burnt.:smile: I believe the 12/24 is just about the clock.They have blogs but it really needs work. No messaging. it runs midnight to midnight. I would trust fitbit over mfp. Also, there is a delete for the fitbit adjustment to the right.

    Fitbit is accurate much of the time. I was on a plateau when I bought the fitbit. I watched its numbers instead and the weight started dropping. Some of the numbers seem low on Fitbit's account, but hey that works for me.

    If you are using the fitbit adjustment you do not log the same exercise into MFP. Fitbit has already done that for you.

    I was told to continue logging as normal in MFP? Is this wrong now. I did a whole lot more of exercise than the fitbit adustment gave me today thats for sure!

    If you log your food on fitbit then it might double it. I let fitbit track exercise and enter my food on mfp.

    I do not log any exercise or food on fitbit, only on MFP...........someone told me not to.

    You only log on MFP. Otherwise you might get double entries. However, I don't log exercise on MFP that my fitbit can track itself(walking). But if I'm doing something that my fitbit can't accurately calculate(weightlifting), I add it to MFP.

    So basically fitbit is telling me I only had 397 cals for 2 full hrs of exercise today whereas MFP gave me over 600. I know for a fact I burned more than 397. Now I am even more confused. I logged my exercise into MFP and got the over 600 and then fitbit adjustment gave me 397 so does that mean I really don't have that many exercise cals?

    You only log on MFP. Otherwise you might get double entries. However, I don't log exercise on MFP that my fitbit can track itself(walking). But if I'm doing something that my fitbit can't accurately calculate(weightlifting), I add it to MFP.

    The adjustment will adjust over time. Beacuse you were so active, when you entered the exercise on MFP, it anticipates you remaining more active over the course of the day, and adjusts accordingly. I usually just delete the adjustment, as I was just as active prior to getting my FB, and wasn't aware of it, lol; however, you can "up" your activity level on MFP if you continue to get large adjustments over the course of time, and they should match up better. Hope I haven't confused you more, as it's hard to explain sometimes!

    I tried the Fitbit but found it to be horribly inaccurate when it comes to measuring exercise. It told me that I burned 300 calories after 60 minutes of highly demanding boxing training (not cardio kickboxing). Basically, it's a fancy pedometer. It just tracks how many times your body jiggles/steps during the day. I sent it back.

    Its only really accurate for exercises involving your feet. It can't tell if you're moving your hands(boxing).
