What are your guys thoughts on going to the gym and exercising when your just starting to get a cold. I feel tired and have a stuffy nose, so I know my body if fighting off something. Does working out put more stress on the body allowing you to get sicker, or do you think it would help shorten the cold? Any experience or feed back would be much appreciated!

depends on how bad i feel. i had something roll in on sunday (sneezing and coughing) and i went. by monday i had what felt like was going to be a sore throat. i still went.
for some reason i felt better while i was at the gym (no sneezing, coughing, runny nose etc while there) than at home. today i feel much better.
my general rule is to go unless i feel tired, then i star home and rest

When I am sick I push myself that much harder. I figure I will work the sickness out of me.0

Years ago I got some advice that I still abide by: don't spend energy you don't have. Take it a bit easier and if you have much of a fever skip the workout and rest. But I will often walk or run gently when I have a cold.0
