Caloric requirements

My calorie requirement is 1770 Kcal per day as a base. One estimate I got was 2770 Kcal per day with exercise and normal workday, etc. Why is MyFitnessPal saying that I should only be eating 1400 Kcal before I enter exercise?

I am not sure but MFP does factor in the desired weight loss... So if you are wanting to lose a pound a week let's say, you will need to burn 500 fewer calories than you take in. Hence if you are 1900 for maintenance, you should take in 1400 for a pound per week loss. When you add exercise, your allowance will increase to account for the added activity. Hence if you are alloted 1400 kCal for the day and burn 600 calories, your allowance will increase to 2000 kCal.0

What is your weight loss goal set to? MFP will just subtract the calories required to achieve that, and it often turns out to be too low.0
