If you work out can or should u b eating more??

Just was wondering what you all thought on this.. Some say to eat 1200cals a day but is that counting the calories ur burning off when u work out??
I want to make sure im doing this right.. I just went to the store n got diff foods that i can eat and today was so bad cuz when i went to winco i seen my fav thing ever there chocolate covered cinnamon donut =x all to MY SELF!! but other then that ive been doin pretty good!! I had to have one more just ONE MORE lol n thats all but yea tryin to stay on the subject.. =p

well more important is what kind of calories the 1200 are made up of, when your getting them and so on, for example a male building muscle will want upwords of 70g of sugar immediatly following a workout to spike insulin levels to drive nutrients into muscle tissue, but not during any other part of the day, so make sure your 1200 are made up of the right things at the right time first of all. at any rate, find your BMR, then take how many calories you burn in your workout say that number is 500, now keep in mind that one pound of body fat will contain roughly 3500 calories, so you need to work with your body in a calorie deficit state in order to cut0
