    I joined in 2008:flowerforyou:

    February to be exact!

Then you and Faerie are tied for the "oldest" MFPers we've seen so far (speaking purely in terms of your date of registration, of course!).

what am I, chopped liver?

Hey, even I beat you -- I joined in Aug. 2008.

    I was September 2007.

But under a different user name, they think you started in '08 based on the date under your profile pic.

I haven't seen her on here lately. Maybe I'm just missing her. I'm up in the top 10 listed so far. Tamtastic still pops in every once in a while. What about Jeremy and Amanda? Are they still together?

I joined before and closed the account because "It didn't work"  Uh, helloooooooooooo I didn't work!

So glad I stumbled back on this site in January 08, where I was one of those newbies that dropped back out in a week. Came back in June and never looked back.

I may not have hit the goal I wanted, but I am still down 25 pounds and think in a different way.

I've been here since April 2011. But, I started with a different profile.

Why do people start new profiles?

in my case it was a matter of just not wanting to deal with the drama. For a few months there was a lot of drama on the site (back in 2008), and I said, "I'm done". Not a big drama person. I tend to internalize (I'm working on that). To me, anything that prevents you from your goals is an excuse, that's just how I feel, I'm kind of the opposite of a bleeding heart. I'm all for people making changes and improving their situation, but by work and effort, not by complaining and having things given to them. So I was tired of some of that at the time. So I canceled my account, I've since decided that living in a society means dealing with other people's social "quirks" and not ignoring them, so I came back (plus I had a lot of friends on here I missed).

Thanks! Wow, I didn't realize the site had just started then! I definitely have seen the membership numbers skyrocket and the site has totally evolved. It was a big change when they added the 'wall'! This site has been a great help and source of enjoyment for me, even the arguments hehe :)
