Hi Newbie here!

Hi all, I've been lurking for sometime here and can see some really sensible advice being given. I'm 38 5'4 and overweight. Harumph. I've been on about 100 diets all of which have worked then stopped..... Hey ho. So I decided after being weighed in by my Doc in January to be sensible.. I started running in mid Jan couldnt manage a mile then, but now up to 2 miles 3-4 times a week, I do between 20-50 minutes of Zumba DVD (which is hilarious!!! :laugh: ) in between and usually have Sundays off. Well I say off, but I have 2 horses so am always doing something heavy, or being stood on...

I was a bit silly and dropped my cals to 1200 :embarassed: then after reading advice on here have upped to an average last week of 1793 per day.

Last Tuesday I did the fat2fit calculators and foundy Body fat to be 37.2% :grumble: BMR of 1342... I have only lost 2lb in the last month though...:frown:

i intend on getting a set of weights for home and start strength training soon.....I have a book which I carry round with me and write everything down so hopefully dont need to drop any more cals as i dont think I could get through the day :sick:
