Hi All,
I registered with MFP ages ago, but today I've decided to give it a real go, as my BMI tipped me over into the Morbidly Obese category this morning. I have many reasons for trying (again), and having tried pretty much everything in the past I could really do with some support. My top reasons for losing weight / getting fit:
1. Hubby and I would like to try for a baby
2. I have PCOS, and losing weight is pretty much the only treatment for it
3. I'm planning to start training for a career as an opera singer, I have the voice, but need the physical fitness to support it.
4. At 23 years I'm beginning to think life is too short to waste is on cheesy puffs and binge-tv watching.
5. I miss my old active lifestyle, I've never been skinny, but I was certainly a lot fitter than this - and I'd like that back. Mountain climbing, hiking, camping and all that outdoors stuff used to be my life, but now I can barely walk to the shops.
There are of course hundreds more, but I'll start with these.
So for now, I'm tracking food and trying to move a bit more, and I'll gradually build on this. I have about 120lbs to lose, so it's going to be a long, long journey.
Thanks for reading!
