New to site… Fighting my PCOS battle

Hi everyone. Well, I am here to start my weightloss journey. I have tried soooooo many other times but have failed. Well, im just dusting myself off and trying again. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 yrs ago. My weight has sky rocket ever since. I use to weigh 108 lbs and right now I am at my highest which is 221lbs. It is depressing. I need to lose weight because I know that PCOS can cause Heart Failure and Diabetes. Two things which I don’t ever want to face. I’m taking one step at a time. I know that I will be healthy again, running around with my kids/hubby and not feeling like I can’t breathe. I am here for encouragement but also to give support.

Hello, I too have PCOS and hopefully can help a bit. I found that when I take the right combo of vitamins my weight changes a lot less. About a year and a half ago when I discovered the right blend of vitamins I lost 50 pounds with barely any effort. I do not want to tell you what to take, that should come from a doctor or homeopath, but I can tell you that I have done a lot of research and found that this works for me. I take a Jamieson Slim multi vitamin, vitamin D, Chromium, biotin, fish oil, Vitamin B12 and Calcium, every day. I know it seems like a lot (and it is, lol), but if it works, I'll do it. The important point is to take somethings that help control blood sugar, since that is one of our major issues, and the right combination to keep the metabolism going and help the calories turn into energy. The reson I take the Jamieson Slim is that it has mostly everything in it, there is biotin and chromium in it, but I take the extra since there is not enough in it. So, all I can say is do your research or go see a homeopath, you will be amazed at the difference. I get regular periods, no hot flashes, no elevated blood sugar, and the best part, I don't feel crazy!!! I don't know about you guys, but when I am not in control of my hormones I can either cry or get mad at the drop of a hat, and I hate being like that. I refuse to take Metformin, I have heard from a lot of people that it makes you really sick, and there are far too many side effects. This is the combination that is reccommended as an alternative to drugs. I wish you luck! :flowerforyou:
