Birthday treat

So I treated myself to a (large) glass of wine and a cadbury creme egg last night even though i didn't need them. I was almost exactly on my calories and VERY close on my macros before. They put me ~350 over on cals and ~40g over on my (custom) carb goals.

But you know what - it was my birthday. Changing my life doesnt mean sacrificing the things I like. It means changing the way I think. I guarantee on previous birthdays that would have been 2-3 glasses and at least 2 eggs (plus some reese peanut butter eggs - damn those things are delicious ). I guess what I'm saying is, I'm GLAD that I did it. It was totally worth it.

I comment here and there on the threads, but I don't start too many threads. Some people may think I am looking for praise or support (especially considering the thread category). But really? I'm trying to support others here. Your mentality plays an enormous role in your journey. I know how to make the right decisions - and you do too. A treat or incentive here and there can help sooth your mind and take away stress, without completing sabotaging your goals.

That is all - good luck everyone, and may all your birthdays include wine and cadbury creme eggs :drinker:

I didn't mean to imply that you should use food in order to get rid of excessive stress. I just meant that rewards in moderation can have beneficial effects. Sorry if that point wasn't conveyed correctly.
