Hi,
i love taking wraps to work as part of my lunch - i use the weight watchers ones. i have come to a bit of a mental block about fillings though. i usually have chicken or tuna but would really like to liven them up a bit and have some low cal haelthy filling wraps. any ideas?

lean taco meat, shredded lettuce, diced onion and tomato, a little hot sauce, cheese if you want.
hummus?
caesar salad (tried to spell that three times and that is the best I can do! ha!)
roast beef, italian dressing, banana peppers (not sure on calories for that....)
ham and swiss and tomato
assorted roasted veggies (red pepper, zucchini, onion, green pepper) and a light salad dressing/spread/hummus0 -
I am on a breakfast burrito kick lately. I usually include 3 scrambled egg whites, 1/8 cup shredded colby jack cheese and 1 tbsp. Pace chunky salsa. I also use the Mission Carb Conscious Tortillas. They are a bit smaller (fajita sized) but 2 of them fills me up. I split the 3 egg whites between the 2 tortillas. Good luck!0

Try beans as your protein source. I like fat free refried, since they hold everything together, but black or any other type would work just fine.
I also love hummus veggie wraps, and any lean protein would work great inside. I do soy bacon, grilled chicken strips, or sliced up veggie burgers.
Bell pepper strips, sliced cucumber, steamed zucchini or squash, julienned carrots, green beans, Mexican rice...
If you make a veggie for dinner, just throw leftovers into your wrap the next day.0 -
I usually have plain roast turkey in mine, spiced up with some sweet chilli/BBQ sauce and some salad.0

Low fat cottage cheese + salsa + veggie sticks
Hummus + sprouts + avocado slices + turkey (optional) + mustard
(Pinto beans + barbecue sauce) + (shredded red cabbage + lime juice + chili powder + cilantro)
Shaved Parmesan + shaved fennel + arugula + salt + pepper
also, try adding raw parsnip matchsticks to your regular sandwiches, or chunks of radish0 -
there is so much you can do with a wrap!
A personal fav is grilled chicken with roasted peppers and onions with sweet chili sauce! yummy!0 -

-Tomato
- light drizzle of light ranch dressing (tbsp)
-other veggies too if you like! Sometimes I add onions, peppers, snow peas, cucumber ect
also I have had avocado instead of ranch dressing...pretty delish!0 -
Anything you would use in a sandwich can be in a wrap. I rarely eat bread for sandwiches anymore. Whole Wheat wraps are a staple on my grocery list.0

Take a package of fajita mix and a can of (diet) coke. Let chicken or beef sit in this for 2 hours at room temperature. Put the meat only in a frying pan with some olive oil. When cooked (chicken) or partly cooked (beef) add in sliced peppers (green, red etc). Once the peppers have started to cook, add more of the marinate. Let it boil down. Put in container, bring to work and re-heat. Put on wraps.0
