My first attempt at quinoa!

I just wanted to post that I just tried quinoa for the first time. Yumm! I saw a thread on here a few days ago about it and decided to give it a whirl. I made it with italian seasoning, spinach, and a bit of cheese. I made a 1 cup batch last night (which made a lot more than I expected!) and I brought a smaller portion with me for lunch today. It's really is good and I'm pretty happy about it. I will make a good rice replacement. Many people in my household like rice, so we have at least once a week. but I'm not a huge fan of it, so I'm planning to do some experimenting with th quinoa and try it out on my family!
Next new food on my list is shiratakil noodles!

Just a thought..cook quinoa, add a tad bit of olive oil, chopped cucumbers, bit of diced onions, if you like, chopped avacodo. I also add a little feta cheese and some seasoning to taste.....always good with lots of protein!!0
