At the Risk of Getting Bashed

There is something I struggle with, and I just wonder if any of the rest of you have struggled with this, and how you handled it. When I was a teenager, I was anorexic. I am 5' 4" and my weight varied from 86 lbs to 103 lbs. in high school. After I graduated, I gained up to 118, then had my first son. Since then my weight has steadily climbed, topping out since I had my son 1 year ago. I now weigh about 168 lbs. I have been on here awhile, and most days get below my calories. (With one exception when I had a hot fudge sundae). My issue is this, the more I watch what I eat, the stronger the urge just not to eat at all. Has anyone else ever dealt with this?

No, but hang in there. There are others on this site (I've seen posts) going through the same things! Hopefully they'll respond for you.0

Being that you have been previously diagnosed with an eating disorder, it may be wise to go through this weight loss with a doctor or nutritionist on your side to talk things through. I am not sure if you were ever treated for your eating disorder or if you still struggle but either way your current thoughts do not sound healthy.0

Constantly.
I was referred to MFP by some other people in "recovery" from eating disorders.
It's difficult to lose weight the "healthy" way when you know how easy it is to lose it by just not eating.
(especially for me when my weight gain was mostly due to a personal trainer that set my calories at a "reasonable" number).
MFP is great for me. I target eating AT LEAST my calorie allowance. If I catch myself eating under, I hold myself accountable and have a snack. Before MFP, if I had a day where I ate almost nothing, I used to rationalize that I was "making up for the day before" or i "would eat tomorrow" or "there were probably more calories in that than i think" blah blah blah0 -
What do you have your calorie intake set at? I would suggest if eating such a small amount makes you think of not eating then increase the amount to a level you are comfortable with and just lose the weight over a longer period, rather than trying to get it off too quickly.0

I would probably seek professional help.0
