Help please? I seem to be going over my protein goal but staying under my calorie count, and I am losing weight, so... is this ok? LOL

Also when I entered exercise, it added points back to my daily calorie count. But for weight loss, I don't think this makes sense. Is there a way to turn this off?

You need protein to build and repair muscle.......I generally just ignore the protein count. I think of it as more of a "minimum" than a "dont go over'. Going over on your protein isn't going to do much of anything negative.

IF you are netting at least 1200 a day, but going "over" on protein, it's fine.

It's helpful to see how many exercise calories you are earning.

That's good to know as I really wanted a glass of milk but it'll take me over my protein so I left it. I can have that glass of milk now :drinker:

Protein on MFP is set low, depending on your goal you can stay around 1g per lb as a generic number. as for eating back your excercise calories, MFP automatically sets you at a deficit so even if you eat back your excersise calories you are still at a deficit but if your not hungry dont eat. if you are eat them back.
  • Mine's balanced out now. I forgot to log the 2nd exercise I did this afternoon :drinker: I've now had my milk.
