hey folks,
my name's vanessa, i've been a vegetarian since i was born (26 years). i've never had a problem with incorporating enough protein into my diet. however, recently i've been working out 5-6 times a week, and i'm trying to strengthen my muscles in the process of losing weight. i know protein can help with building muscles, so i am looking to increase my protein intake, without any supplements (i.e. protein shakes), because i prefer to get my nutrition from food. i eat raw vegan for about 50% of my meals, and want to maintain that, because it has given me tons of energy. and while i prefer vegan food, i am definitely open to anything vegetarian too. :)
my average protein intake is about 60-75 grams, i'm aiming to increase it to about 100.

this is a quick list of foods i eat pretty regularly for protein:
beans (all kinds, but especially garbanzo)
nutritional yeast
tofu
quorn naked chick'n, and turk'y burgers
tofurky
nuts (almonds, pistachios, macadamia, cashews)
greek yoghurt
tvp
seitan

thanks for any suggestions!
