    at the moment my fave lyrics come from a weakerthans song;
"I know you might roll your eyes at this but, I'm so glad that you exist."

reminds me of someone special thats far away and makes me smile.

Awake to see the living dead.
They live in darkness too blind to see the path they've led.
They search this world to try to find existence.
They are the damned they chose their own extinction.
Let the dead bury their own dead.
    Everyone is dead.
Will you stand with this generation?
Or will you watch it dig its own grave.

"Hold on to 16 as long as you can, changes come around real soon make us women and men." John Mellencamp

"Don't Bend, Don't Break, Baby don't back down." Bon Jovi
  • My favorite lyric at the moment is from the reprise of "Wicked Little Town" from Hedwig & the Angry Inch:

"That when everything starts breaking down, you take the pieces off the ground and show this wicked town something beautiful and new."

" the highway's jammed with broken heros on a last chance power drive...."

    Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen

    Love this song!

    From the same song
(I'm one of those crazy motorcycle riders that enjoys dragging parts in turns, and we have a highway 9 nearby with some crazy twists and turns):

"Sprung from cages on highway 9
chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin' out over the line"

She likes to ride into town with the top down.
Feel the warm breeze on her gentle skin,
She is my next of kin
    -Jimmy Buffet

I fell in love with this song when my daughter was driving with me. I used to have a convertible Z/28 and we were driving. I looked in back and she was the most chilled out little two year old you would have ever seen. Just enjoying the sun and wind.

"Either work hard or you might as well quit!" - MC Hammer, U can't touch this is one of my favorites. The song Warrior by Disturbed is on I always listen to when I work out.

    Remember me for all time
This determination is a vital part of me
    Surrender now or be counted
With the endless masses that I will defeat

Broken down till your hope has died
    Beat down 'til victory's mine
Stand up and show me some pride
    And now are you ready?

I have no need of any guidance
I am a weapon, powerful beyond belief
    Seen through the warrior's eyes
I never need to question how to defeat you

"And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know, that you were born, you were born to fly

My daddy, he's grounded like the oak tree
My momma, she is steady as the sun
Oh you know I love my folks
But I keep starin' down the road
Just lookin' for my one chance to run" Sara Evans.....Im getting the first part tattooed on my back across my wings. :o)

    AND

As someone told me lately:"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
    And if I'm flying solo
    At least I'm flying free
    To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me
    Tell them how
    I amDefying gravity---Wicked<3

Not exaclty inspirational, but I love the second line....

"You want me, well f***ing well come and find me
I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches."

    Radiohead - Talk Show Host
