Running question-Am I really ready?

Am I ready or am I going to die?!?!?? I just signed up for a 20K for this weekend (12.42miles). I have been training for a half-marathon coming up in mid-May. My longest run has been an 8 miler. I did have a 9 miler about a month ago, that was rough because of strong winds and very warm temps, and had to walk a bit. I do run 3-5 days/week and average about 12-15 miles/week. I am SO nervous! Any tips or pointers? Can I do this?

The bad is you are untrained, the good news is at that distance you can survive despite it.
Just be sure to go out slow! Your pace at the start should feel crazy easy.0 -
You'll be alright. The last mile or two might be a struggle, but other than that you'll do fine. Don't push yourself to full race pace...treat it like a long run. The HM is your big goal, so don't do something that will risk injury this weekend.0

You will be fine! Just put one foot in front of the other. What's the worst that will happen? You walk.0
