Cheat Days?

I heard of some people letting themselves have one cheat day a week. To be honest I'm not very far in on my weight loss, and I am afraid of gaining all the weight I loss back if I gave myself a cheat day. What does everyone think? Cheat or ALWAYS stick to the plan day in day out?

I think it's ok to cheat with your diet every once in a while. You are more likely to stick to eating healthy regularly. Now I'm not saying go eat thousands of calories because you crave it but if theres something small you want it's not gonna derail your weight loss if you have it. I don't think having a whole cheat day would be wise but if you crave something little every once in a while just eat it lol.

^^^this! Cheat days were becoming a habit for me, and I usually ended up eating back all the weekly progress I made. I have cheat meals, but I still stay within my calorie limits.

I tried that at first, I've been doing this around a month (ish). My first cheat day, I ate ONE cheat meal. A burrito at Taco Bell. This is something that I used to eat ALL the time before I started eating right. I got extremely sick. SO, for me, no cheat days. Don't restrict yourself from things you love, though. I eat basically the same things that I used to - but the healthy versions that I make at home. Tastes just the same without the added crap.

I have one scheduled cheat meal per week. I only do it only when scheduled, and it's only one meal, not a whole day. It's not causing me any difficulties, in fact it makes it a lot easier to stick to the diet, and I don't feel guilty about it. In my opinion, it's a much healthier alternative to a binge.

I allow one 'Cheat' meal per week.

    I actually schedule it.

This way I don't have any flexibility with it that would allow me to have more than one a week.

My mum and I love breakfast foods, so every Saturday (my rest day, as well) we go and eat at our fav breakfast place here in Baltimore.
By lunch, I'm back to my diary. By Sundaym I'm back to my routine.

I've been doing this since the beginning and I've been losing 1-2 lbs per week since mid-february.
