Wii Active

I know there have been lots of posts about the Wii active but after going through and trying to read them all I'm still not sure what others are logging their exercise as.
Can someone tell me what I can log my Active exercise as to be as close to how many calories I should really be burning? I know from reading previous posts that the calories you burn according to the Active can be off (lower).
I appreciate all the input!

Unless you have an HRM (heart rate monitor), it's not going to be exact. I have used the Wii My Fitness Coach, and the calories they say I burned were less than what my HRM said, but I don't know by how much anymore. I guess it's a good guess until you get an HRM. :ohwell:0

When i first got ea active, i just made a custom cardio entry called "Ea active" and use the calories they showed on the screen.
Now i have a HRM and i still put it under "Ea active" but i put the actual calories i burned.0 -
For Wii Active, I usually just burn the calories that it tells me I burned. According to my HRM, I burned more calories in a workout, but I use the Wii Active figures so that way, it's a little less calories. Helps me to not eat as many of my exercise calories....just trying to factor in my own little deficit here and there.
Kind of like if Active tells me I burned 100 calories, and my HRM tells me I burned 150, I'll just put in 100 and eat the extra 100 calories instead of 150 calories...0 -
That's a good idea about using the calories burned the Wii Active says even though your HRM says you burned more. I think I'll start doing that! There are some days though I want to burn all the calories I can so I can try to lower the amount I've gone over, like yesterday .. Guess I'll have to start working out even more if I want to use the amount of calories burned the Wii gives me if I want to use that theroy0
