Need help with diet/exercise ideas

I am always on the go and usually don't get to work out until around 11 pm each night. I either work or go to school through the day, sometimes both, and then try and workout. My problem is I am rarely around a microwave at school, but we have one at work.

But I would like to hear some ideas of healthy food for on the go. I would also ask for any tips on shedding the belly fat besides the usual jogging and sit ups. I've shed 60 lbs., and have toned up in a bunch of areas, but the belly fat is taking the longest to go away. So any helpful hints on foods that reduce belly fat & exercises that target that area would be helpful.

  • look into the ABS diet. It focuses mainly on foods to help reduce that area (not just there, but all over).

as for food on the go, I always keep zone bars with me. 200 calories, high in protien, as well as in vitamins. I usually have one for breakfast before I hit the gym, and sometimes I will have one later in the day as a snack. Otherwise, I NEVER do frozen foods any more (unless they're homemade and I personally freeze them). They are typically way too high in fats, sodium, carbs, etc. You gain a lot more from whole foods/fresh foods.

I do a lot of turkey sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, etc for meals. Snacks, I usually bring veggies, nuts, fruits, etc.

Sandwiches and salads are probably the best way to deal with lunches away from home, and plenty of fruit and raw veg for snacking inbetween meals to keep your metabolism going if it's a long time between meals. Not heard of foods that specifically target loss in certain areas, probably just a case of keep plugging away and it'll come off your tummy when it's finished coming off everywhere else - as frustrating as that is!
