Hi, I'm new here, but have been doing MFP for about 90 days or so. I have lost about 27lb and suddenly my weight is staying the same. I am having 1200 calories a day I'm 44 years old and not very active, meaning not working out as yet. I was reading on here about BMR and TDEE, I have no idea what this is at all. And would be interested to know what it's all about. I feel I am eating too few calories now, as I find it hard to hit the 1200 calories every day. I have recently bought a treadmill that I am going to start using today for the first time and intend to start to build up my fitness gradually with 15 minutes brisk walking a day. And get more faster and more minutes as time goes along. I would like to know how I can adjust my calories to the excersise? And what calories I really should be having to lose weight, as it's really come to a stand still. Hope to hear from someone soon, I'm desperate. I need to lose another 50lbs.

You've hit a plateau! I think you have answered your own dilemma though! :) Just start incorporating some light activity into your day and build it up gradually. When I hit a plateau, I tarted going for walks more and my weight started going down again.

As far as calories go, I would earn myself some calories to eat by exercising (even walking) a bit every day! You'll free up some calories and will give yourself some room for a snack or a small meal.

You can also reset your goals, and add in some exercises 2x per week, that should raise your calorie cap a bit!

    Hope this helps somewhat.
