I've been strength training for about 3mo now and thought my muscles were used to it. I did the biggest loser workout the other day and woke up the next day with severe shoulder/neck pain and can hardly move. Any ideas as to what may have happened or how to prevent it from happening again?

I will be honest with these soughts of things you are best to consult a physio. People are unable to look at your shoulder on here. Injuries can lead to permanent damage, so I would highly recommend seeing a physio if it continues giving you grief.

I have issues as well, I do stretches and exercises and all soughts of things people recommended... I went to a physio and he was able to pin point the issue and point me down the right path.

    Good luck

    Agreeing with this post:
It may be something as simple as you didnt do proper stretches before and after. It could be you didnt have good form while doing those exercises. We will never know to be honest.

Hold a discussion with your PCP (Dont know if you have an HMO), if they cant help you, get a referral to a Sports MD/Exercise Physiologist that can help you.

MFP is not staffed with medical clinicians, so you will need to seek your medical questions out with real-life physicians who have your complete medical history.

To be honest, I probably don't stretch as well as I should....lesson learned! I'm not gonna let this get me down though, I'm fighting through it :)
