I have heard that backwards running on the elliptical forces you to work your core muscles. Has anyone tried this and if so, did you get results?

I always switch between forwards and backwards on the elliptical. It works different muscles to do so. I switch about every 5 minutes throughout my workout.0

I switch front to back also. I feel the backwards movement in my hamstrings.0
