I started to take my weight loss journey seriously this year when i realized how much it was actually effecting my self esteem.
I joined the mobile version of MFP just so i could track my food intake, when i logged in on an actual computer i realized how much support and motivation i could recieve from other members.

For the first month i was doing amazing, i was tracking everything i was eating, i found a workout class that i was completly in love with and i was attending all of the classes that they schelduled.
Then at the end of the month i went and got a tattoo. I knewi shouldnt of because i knew iw ouldnt be able to attend my water workout classes for at least a month.
Just when i was getting myself in a routine i went and ruined it for myself.

During that time thought i started lent and i was using lent to help me with changing my eating habits, It worked amazing, i cut out drinking pop, eating mcdonalds, ordering pizza and eating olleys buffet which is what i would eat everyday for lunch at work.
I changed it so every day i was eating a salad for lunch and i was drinking a lot more water then i ever had before.
I didnt lose any weight which i thought was odd since i did a complete 360 on my eating.
Once my tattoo healed i went back to my workout classes to find out that they changed there times to monda tuesday thurday and friday, before it was monday wednesday and friday which worked pretty easy for me.

Going four times i week would be amazing and im sure i would have no issue attending all the classes but for some reason everytime someone asks me to hang out with them during a night when i should be in my workout class i always make an excuse to myself on how i can always go next time to the class and i end up hanging out with my friends instead.

Because of that i ended up gaining five of the pounds i lost which really upset me because iwas doing so well.

Now im stuck in a rut because i know what i need to do in order to get myself healthy and get myself in shape but i find myself always making excuses not to do it.
And with me and my bestfriend taking a vacation end of july i want to make sure im going to be able to go there with the confidence i need to wear a swimsuit and not have it be that im hiding my body while im on a beach.

I dont know how to get myself out of this mess as i only have 14 weeks before i go on vacation.

I'm not sure if your diary entries are incomplete or your'e actually eating this much every day. A plateau is inevitable if you're eating too little. What you should try to do is aim to lose 1lb a week. It may take some getting used to eating this much after long periods of eating very little but it's your best shot. Update your weightloss goals to lose 1lb a week, it will probably recalculate your daily intake to possibly 1500 cals or so a day depending on how tall you are and how much you way.

Eating enough food is very important to proper weightloss. If you eat too little, good chance you plateau. If you eat too much, good chance you will gain. ( However I don't think you will have this problem considering your dairy entries )

thank you for your reply but its not eating thats the issue, its finding a way to get myself out of the rut of not exercising.
I was doing so well before and then i had to take a break and havent been able to get myself back to the classes

How about at the beginning of the week you commit yourself to exercising on set days? That way, if someone asks you to do something else on a day you planned to exercise, you say no, but that you're free on X day when you had planned a day off the exercise? That way you stick with the exercise but also have some free time to spend with friends etc.

If it were the other way around for example, you'd planned a night out with friends, once you'd committed to that you wouldn't then cancel on your friends to go and exercise, so do the same the opposite way around if you see what I mean?

You can do it, give yourself a push and you'll get there.

I do the Wii Fit a lot for exercise! I'm like you and can't stand exercise, but this is fun and you can set yourself goals to do so much exercise you work of 100 cal or 200 etc. Also when you're on it and doing stuff like boxing, I find doing it for 6 mins can burn off 40 cal so it's not like it takes much time either! :)

:flowerforyou: I know how you feel and it will only last if you let it continue to depress you. You have today. You always have today. Maybe you can inviite friends to your workouts? I see myself slipping after an achievement too and it takes a mental adjustment not a physical one. I know you want this, and i know you can do this. DECIDE COMMIT SUCCEED :)

Best wishes.. if i can help in any way i will ... even if i have to keep asking you "did you work out today" didi you tell your friends you had plans today to sweat? it always feels better after a good workout too so think of that reward and not just the long term goals.

with all the nice weather its reminding me to kick some butt before summer but it also makes me feel like being more social.. i think its in our DNA to feel more social in spring and summer so don't let that get you down, work around it, after all it is important enough to "rant" or seek advice about, or join a site about, or struggle for 40 days and nights about....RIGHT??

Love you and keep on trucking girl, we are all here for you!! :)
