Instead of trying to help her, why don't you help yourself with your frustration and stop worrying about what you can't control?

This is her path to walk, not yours.

Amen Sister!! What she said lol.

Not to mention whoever the OP is posting about is so obviously not her "friend". Because who would do that to a real friend? Plus call them, "someone" and "this person".
    LOL
    Just stop being so judgmental.
    Tests can be wrong.
Takes more than just one test, and your Dr. has to know what to test. There are also more symptoms, that maybe "this person" has but you probably never bothered to ask or find out about because you are too concerned with what she is drinking.

Being concerned about a friend's health and wanting to help isnt being judgmental. A true friend will call you on your crap, but they will do it in a way that will encourage you, not just point out flaws and laugh. I certainly don't want a posse of yes-men cheering my bad decisions on as I throw myself off the proverbial cliff. Speaking of...

some people dont realize exactly how many calories they are eating and drinking

also exercise alone isnt always enough to lose weight or hold off weight gain. take that from someone who has exercised (mainly tough workouts like heavy weight lifting, HIIT, ran races etc ) my entire adult life yet i still got 80 pounds overweight. people get overweight primarily because of their diet, not because they need to go for a walk everyday. yes it's probably true that is i hadnt been exercising i'd be 160 pounds overweight, but still even doing the right stuff activity wise, taking in too many calories made me 80 pounds overweight

you should suggest that your friend keep a food diary. doing so could be eye opening. i know once i did it, there it was in writing that i was eating on average a good 1000 calories over my TDEE.
