Increasing my calorie intake???

So I've heard alot of comments on here about increasing your calorie intake instead of sticking with the 1200 calories recommended. Does anyone have any imput into this. I work out 5-6days a week jogging 3+miles/Biking 7-12miles plus Zumba on Tuesday and Thursdays. I recently just rejoined this site and am trying to get this set correctly!! Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
