And I didn't even realize it at first....
I have been working on my weight loss since March 2011. I have lost 40lbs so far, it's slow, but it's still going. I was wearing a size 20w, almost needing a size 22w at that time.
Yesterday, I decided to wear a brand new pair of size 16 jeans that I had purchased. I was all excited about them, they were more stylish than what I had been wearing, and I was feeling like a million bucks. But after a short time of walking around in them while running errands, they were starting to creep down my hips! I was getting irritated because they were a bit long, and I was starting to look ridiculous as the were actually hitting the ground in front of my shoes, and getting caught under the toe of my shoe!
I decided to run into a nearby TJ Max to see if they had a cheap belt I could purchase for the afternoon so I could get my pants hiked back up! I was grumbly and mad that I was having to make this side stop. I dug through the belts, finding one in a large that I really liked. I figured I would try it, just in case they had lost their minds and made it big enough to fit my wide waistline. (The xxl belts at Target wouldn't even fit me the last time I even though about trying on a belt some time ago.) The belt just barely fit, I could have used the largest hole, but it would have been under duress. I shoved it aside and picked up a discounted designer belt in an xl. It fit, I purchased it, put it on, and when about my day, still irritated that my brand new pants weren't working out the way I wanted.
It wasn't until I was driving home that I put it all together....
Hey, wait a minute! The size 16's were loose?! A size large designer brand belt had just encircled my entire waist, when an xxl was too small just months ago?! Wow! I am actually doing this!
That was a pretty awesome moment
