BMR and Intake settings

I am a 5'4'' , 36 year old female. I calculated by bf% using my height, weight, measurements and came up with 33% bodyfat. Logging that into bodyfit radio, I come up with the following:
Lean body mass of 147 pounds and BMR (Harris-Benedict Formula) of 1739 or (Katch-McArdle Forumla) of 1813. It also seems from this site that the don't recommend I get below about 170-180 for my goal weight as I would have to eat below my BMR.
I fall in the lightly active to active category. Does this really mean I should be eating about 2000 calories a day as a minimum and I should be logging exercise on top of that? This also means that I would never come out of the obese category for BMI. I could possibly come in to overweight - but my bf% would have to be pretty low. Could this really be possible? I have known since I was very young that I had more muscle than most women I knew, but really, this much? Any insight would help. I guess this would explain why I thought I was going to die when I tried 1200 calories.

Well, my dear.. I'm also 5'4" and 36 years old. At 145-150lbs and set to active - I can easily maintain in the 2300-2500 NET range for calories. My body fat is somewhere around 27% and my LBM is somewhere around 110lbs. My BMR is 1338.
When I was actively logging, I was eating back nearly all my exercise calories. My body turns into a GRUMP when I don't.
So, yes.. it is very possible you need to NET around 2000 calories.0
