Dear MFP members-

I am looking on Amazon, EBay and a few other sites. So much information on HRM's. Can someone please guide me as to what would be best to get? I'm a smaller framed female and with the weather change(s) am looking to continue my gym workouts and also add some running outdoors.

All advice greatly appreciated!

Thank You.

Get a HRM with a chest strap. Not worth the money you pay if you don't have that.
Don't go really cheap. You are going to be using it a lot to help you with your workouts, get something that will hold up to a beating!

I have a Polar FT40F. I absolutely love it! There are cheaper models out there that work just as well, but I love the bells and whistles on mine. My BF uses a Polar F7 I think. His is nice too, but we had to buy the chest strap separately, so it ended up costing the same as mine!

I've heard good things about the Garmin as well, but I don't know much about it.

I'd get a Polar. Play around with the model types here:

See what features you need and want.

The Polar FT7 and FT4 are very similar but the FT7 stores more sessions (that's what I have, I love it, got it on Amazon, and it came with the chest strap).

The FT40 and FT60 are worth considering too.
